Swan Networks Application Hosting
Applications and data are accessed via a remote desktop session to the Swan Networks data center. Applications are available and run exactly the way local applications do. The only difference the users will notice is the increased performance of the applications. All applications are deployed on multiple servers to provide full redundancy, ensuring availability to users at all times. Specific applications are made available to only the users that require them. Users perform many different job functions within a company and require access to different applications to achieve those job functions. No user can access any application they are not authorized to use and can only see what they are authorized to use.

Applications
Swan Networks can host any Windows Compatible applications including Microsoft Office, Visio, Front Page, Adobe applications, Crystal Report, Visual Studio .Net, Quickbooks, AutoCAD, etc. Furthermore upon application testing, custom applications may be hosted as well. Requests for software applications to be added are also accepted and implemented when available.

Maintenance
On a regular basis maintenance is performed on all applications and hardware it is running on. Swan Networks removes the burden of companies continuously trying to stay current with applications, patches and upgrades. The most current software is available and fully patched for users to utilize for their everyday job functions. Applications are upgraded into a test environment prior to being implemented into the users production environment to ensure performance and reliability of the upgraded application. Maintenance and upgrades are included with all application hosting, removing the concern of an expensive upgrade.

Monitoring
All applications prior to being implemented on the application servers go through rigorous testing to ensure that there are no conflicts and that there are no performance degradations. Servers are continuously monitored for memory usage, processor usage, disk usage, load, and overall performance. New hardware or upgrades to existing hardware is added regularly to meet the demands of our customers. This increases performance, reliability, and allows our customers to grow without the concern of IT resources being able to allow their growth.

Licensing
It is the responsibility of the client to provide documentation of valid licenses for all applications they need. Microsoft offers perpetual software licensing for many of its applications. If additional licenses are required Swan Networks will assist in obtaining the necessary licenses for applications used.
